D.A.M. Salsa Recipes
D.A.M. Salsa is proud to offer an all natural, gluten and preservative free product
that is locally made. The recipe for our salsa has
been in the family for generations. Here are some ways to bring D.A.M.
Salsa to your family in your favorite every day recipes.
Add D.A.M. Spicy Maria Salsa Bloody Mary Additive to DRINKS:
Bloody Mary or Red Beer
Mix vodka or beer with tomato juice, about half and half. Add 1 teaspoon of D.A.M. Spicy Maria Salsa (more or less to taste). Add ice and a squeeze of lime for Bloody Mary. No other ingredients are needed for red beer.
Simple, quick, recipe ideas using D.A.M. Salsa:
Spread
Mix with butter, spread on corn on the cob or warm French bread
Salad Dressing
Mix with sour cream or yogurt, use on taco salad
Mexi-Corn Bread
Add Mexican cheese blend and D.A.M. Salsa to Jiffy Corn Bread mix and bake (remember to compensate the liquid for the salsa)
Cocktail Sauce
Add 1 teaspoon D.A.M. Bloody Mary Mix to your favorite cocktail sauce to put a bite in your favorite fish dish
Breakfast Burrito
Add Mexican cheese blend and your favorite D.A.M. Salsa to eggs, scramble in pan, put mixture into a tortilla and you have a delicious breakfast burrito
Heuvos Rancheros
Sautee 1 cup of your favorite veggies until tender. Add ¼ cup and 1 teaspoon of D.A.M. Salsa. Prepare 3 eggs any style and place over veggie mixture. Enjoy!
Add D.A.M. Salsa to these dips (4 recipes):
Chili con queso (cheese dip), Guacamole (avocado dip), Frijoles con queso (bean and cheese dip)
Cheese Dip/Chili con Queso Dip (Mexican Fondue)
1/bag of Mexican cheese blend, 1/cup of D.A,M. Hot salsa,
1/cup of white wine or beer
In a glass bowl add all ingredients together, melt
the mixture in micro wave, or use a double boiler
sauce pot on top of stove.
Serve HOT!!with cut bread, pita/corn chips,
fried
flour tortilla chips or fresh fruits.
Black Bean/Corn, Tomato Salsa Dip
1/cup ea of cooked or can black beans/corn rinsed
and drained,
½ tsp ea cumin, garlic salt, marjoram
½ cup diced tomato, ¼ cup diced onion, ¼ cup chopped
cilantro,
½ jar D.A.M Hot salsa
Mix all ingredients in a bowl, serve with corn
chips,
pita chips, or crackers
Makes 3¼ cups (store container in refrigerator
up to two weeks)
Avocado/Guacamole’ Dip
4/ripe soft avocados, ½ cup small curd cottage
cheese,
½ cup sour cream, ½ cup D.A.M. Hot Salsa
¼ tsp ea garlic salt, cumin, oregano
(chopped onions,
tomatoes OPTIONAL)
Blend all ingredients in a bowl and serve with
chips, or crackers
For a richer creamier guacamole use just the salsa,
avocados with spices.
Mexican Humus?? hmmmm:
1/can of garbanzos drained (reserve juice from
garbanzos)
½ cup olive oil, 2/garlic cloves,
¼ tsp cumin
¼ cup D.A.M. medium salsa
Blend altogether add juice as needed for creamy
texture.
Serve with Pita chips, flat bread, or tortillas
Spice up your salads with D.A.M. Salsa (3 recipes):
Mango/Peach/Avocado Salad
1/cup each of diced mango, peaches, avocado
(use
drained canned fruits in winter)
½ cup of D.A.M. Medium salsa
Six romaine lettuce leaves. Large curd cottage cheese
Mix all together in bowl serve on romaine lettuce
leaves
with a side of cottage cheese.
Grapes/Apples/Jicama Salsa Salad
1/cup each of red, green grapes,
1/cup diced Jicama
(brown root vegetable peeled and diced),
1/cup chopped apples (red & green)
½ cup of chopped nuts (almonds, filberts, walnuts)
use one or all
6/cups of chopped romaine
Dressing:
3Tbs of Balsamic vinegar, ¼ cup of olive
oil,
¼ cup of D.A.M. Mild salsa (whisk together in small bowl)
Toss fruit with salsa dressing serve on bed of chopped
romaine,
top with chopped nuts
Salsa/Mediterranean Salad
1/can of drained artichoke hearts, ½ cup ea black & green olives,
1/can of garbanzos drained, 1 cup of chopped tomatoes,
1/cup ea chopped yellow squash & zucchini, ½ cup sweet onion,
¼ cup
chopped pistachios, chopped feta (or goat cheese)
Dressing:
¼ cup D.A.M salsa, ½ cup olive oil, 1 Tblsp
lemon juice,
1tsp ea garlic salt, oregano, rosemary
Toss all ingredients in a bowl top with cheese and
nuts.
Serve with pita bread, or flat bread.
Use D.A.M. Salsa in these entrees:
Stews, Chili, Goulash, Spaghetti Marinara, Meat Loaf, Meat Balls, Nachos
Replace your marinade today with D.A.M. Salsa (1 recipe):
Carne Asada (beef, pork, chicken), BBQ Beef
Puerco Piquant/ “Hot” Pork Roast
3 - 5lb pork tenderloin
½ clove of whole garlic (sliced in spears)
½ tsp oregano, cumin, sage, mortared together (dry
rub)
Salt/pepper to taste
¼ cup olive oil, ½ cup hot D.A.M. salsa (mix together)
Poke Roast with holes and stuff with garlic spears,
rub with dry rub
Place in a roasting pan lined with foil
(enough to
use to cove r top of roast)
Pour salsa mixture over top of roast cover with the
foil
Bake at 375 degrees for 45mins.
Take foil off top and bake for additional 15 mins.
Remove
Let stand for 10 mins before slicing
Serve with Garlic smashed potatoes
